'Ello blog buddies. I just gave birth to a(nother) Twitter account. I promise I won't neglect it this time and will bombard you with insignificant personal banter regarding what I eat for breakfast and what shoes I wear and such and such. Like a magpie, I'm attracted to all things shiny. In my case, shiny does not merely pertain to diamonds and pearls, but also studs, chains and silver embellishments (preferably teamed with black leather).

Westfield Chermside: Project Be Styled

ATTN: Brisbane fashion snappers. Do you dream of joining the ranks of Ellen von Unworth and Steven Meisel? If so, Westfield Chermside's Project Be Styled competition wants to get to know you. Amateur photography prodigies across the city are being invited to submit two fashion shots for the chance to score a career-making opportunity and some fab winnings ($2000+).

Four lucky finalists will be selected to partake in a shoot between 15-19 August with full access to a model, stylist and wardrobe bursting with spring/summer trends. The challenge: each finalist will be given a model with a different body shape and must demonstrate how high street fashion can be flaunted to flatter all shapes and sizes. Think Pink

 

   

Rose. Blush. Fuchsia. Magenta. "The colour of love." Or just plain pink. Whatever you wish to call it, all shades of the girly hue seem to be here, there and everywhere lately, especially on the blogosphere. While I don't anticipate I'll be rocking pink on pink anytime soon, my latest score is a gradient pink duvet, so now I can even catch my zzz's amidst the colour. What do you think of pink? Pretty? Or not so?

Painting the town red

It's not exactly smooch friendly, but I can't get enough of ruby red lippy. Above I'm wearing Natio 'RUSH' and Chanel 'Rouge Allure' lacquer slicked on top. (Christmas colour scheme not intentional.) What's your lipstick colour preference?

Well heeled

When it comes to footwear, I've always tended to stick to the safest options: ballets and brogues. Clumsiness and flat feet (er, thanks Dad) aren't exactly heel friendly. I do, however, share a significant admiration for those manage to traipse about gracefully for hours on end at sky heights (without injuring themselves). Giant platforms and a chunky heel? I can manage (gimme gimme). Tall, pin thin stilettos? Utterly outta the question. Are your heel preferences ruled by style, or comfort?
